“You’re the only one that never goes,” Faithia Balogun’s son drags absentee father Saidi on his graduation ceremony

Khalid Balogun, one of the products of Saidi Balogun and Fathia William‘s short-lived marriage has sent an indirect message to his father on the social media.

Faithia Williams and her son, Khalid Balogun

The teenager who recently passed out of school took to his official IG page @thekhalid_ with this message:

I love YOU SO MUCH MUM..YOU BEEN THERE FOR ME SINCE THE BEGINNING..U ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT NEVER GOES..I LOVE U MUM…..@faithiawilliams

This is a direct swipe at Saidi Balogun who many described as an absentee father to Khalid and his sister, Aaliyah.

The Baloguns: United for a day

However, Saidi Balogun and Fathia Williams, put their differences aside, at least for a day, to celebrate their son’s graduation on Saturday.

Saidi’s son, Khalid, whom he had with Fathia, graduated from secondary school in Lagos.

The celebration of his graduation saw the two ex-lovers reunite as a family after a long time.

Fathia and Saidi were all smiles as they posed for a family photograph at the occasion.
Faithia and Saidi were married for six years. Their marriage took place on September 7, 2000, at the Ikorodu Marriage Registry, Lagos.

They were separated for a few years before they officially divorced on January 17, 2014.

In November 2017, Fathia reverted to her maiden name “Williams” three years after their divorce was finalised.

The union produced two children.
