This is not a naija joke, but a math trick — where; your shoe size can tell your age (depending on when you were born, among other factors). Wanna give your age and shoe size trick a try? Oya! Read on….

Your age and shoe size math trick

YOUR SHOE SIZE CAN TELL YOUR AGE

Grab your calculator and try the following:

    1. Take your shoe size (no half sizes, round em up!).

    2. Multiply it by 5.

    3. Now, add 50.

    4. Next, multiply it by 20.

    5. Then, add 1015 (note: this number changes every year)

    6. Finally, subtract it by the year you were born.

You will get 4 digits. The first 2 digits is your shoe size. The second 2 digits is your age.

    Some things to note

The shoe size math trick only works with two-digit ages. This means the trick does not work if you are 100 years old or more.

If you were born in 1915 for example, and wear shoe size 10, the trick would conclude that your shoe size is 11 and that you are 00 years old.

Another thing to note is that; this formula will only produce the correct two-digit age if the person has already celebrated their birthday that year.

The magical trick of it is what motivated me to share the interesting discovery. I’m sure many would find it interesting too – especially those just discovering it 😉

Thank you for your comment @joan

You are certainly right! There’s even a saying that says something like: ‘everyone we meet, knows something we dont; learn from them’.
