“Miss Teacher” actress and television personality Chika Nancy Ike has explained that severe domestic violence was the reason why she walked away from her marriage with banker ex-husband Tony Eberiri, in 2013, after over seven years together.

The actress who is currently in U.S.A. to continue her ‘Program for Leadership Development’ (PLD) at Harvard Business School revealed she left her marriage because she was beaten by her husband several times during their stay together as husband and wife, it wasn’t once, twice or trice but he did it on countless occasion.
She said the last incident was “when he almost hit me with a glass jug and I had to escape, at this juncture, I knew I had escaped death and was not willing to continue in it.”

At the time, Eberiri came out slamming the sultry thespian for broadcasting the problems and troubles they had as a couple while their marriage lasted. According to him, he cautioned her to desist from posting stuffs about him on social media as well as giving interviews he claimed were tarnishing his name.
An insider source said at the time that Tony strongly warned the actress to desist from accusing him alone as an architect of their marriage misfortune, as she was also one of the factors that led to the break-up of the marriage.
Chika Ike, who got a divorce from an Abuja High Court lambasted Tony as being the one responsible for the crash of their marriage, accusing him of beating her and making her lose her pregnancy.

Chika has however revealed that she is ready to settle down with a man for good.
