Breaking News: Sad moments for popular Nollywood Actress — Kate Henshaw, whose house in Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos, caught fire on Thursday. The incident was covered by multiple news sources in Nigeria including Leadership NG. Gladly, the actress is safe and sound.
According to reports gathered, the fire started around 3pm and neighbors struggled to put out the fire at Kate Henshaw’s residence in Lekki. Witnesses reportedly say the outbreak might have been caused by an electric surge. This is according to a publication by The Cable.

Briefs on Kate Henshaw
Kate Henshaw is a highly talented Nigerian actress, and popular for her remarkable role in the movie STRONGER THAN PAIN, along with Nkem Owoh. She was born in Cross River State, Nigeria, and is the oldest of four children. After completing her primary and secondary school in Lagos and Calabar, she spent one year at the University of Calabar reading remedial studies, and then majored in Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science, LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos.
Henshaw later worked at the Bauchi State General hospital. The year 1993 was when she ventured into acting by auditioning for a lead role in the movie ‘When the Sun Sets’ and was handed the role. This was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie.
Kate Henshaw has starred in over 50 Nigerian movies since then. In 2008 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film Stronger than Pain.
