NOLLYWOOD NEWS — You have seen his face in quite a number of Nigerian movies. Veteran Nollywood actor, Obi Madubogwu is currently battling chronic diabetes, and if not helped sooner, he risks having his leg amputated in an attempt to save his life. 😢

Obi Madubogwu who is popularly known for his role as ‘King of Musanga’ reportedly got resuscitated after he went into coma following a toxic battle with a diabetic wound. He is currently in the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Ebute Meta, YABA, Lagos State, according to reports gathered by the Nollywood Community team.

A Nollywood stakeholder, Apga Alaigbo made the disclosure on his Facebook page, calling for support from well-meaning Nigerians to save the ailing actor’s life.

He wrote: “Another NOLLYWOOD SUPER STAR in DANGER”.

“THE KING OF MUSANGA, the Ogidi Born Actor with flair for helping the needy, the man with touch of Love for humanity Mr. Obi Madubogwo is critically ill, he is finally out of coma after a toxic battle with Diabetic wound.”

“Currently the family has ran short of fund to continue giving him what he needed, they need money to pay for surgery, tests, medication etc, else they will amputate his leg to save his life.”

“He takes a pint of blood daily.”

“He needs our support urgently.”

“Please no amount is too small.”

“You can donate blood at d hospital. It’s really critical.”

“He is currently in FMC inside railway corporation, ebute meta, YABA, Lagos.”

“We will be posting the list of those that supported with the amounts of the donor so wish.”

Obi Madubogwu is the President of Saving Life for Africa Diabetes Foundation (SLAD), a non Governmental Project organisation with special interest on promoting issues on Diabetes Mellitus through enlightenment and education for people living in both urban and rural areas on the diabetes. He is also the founder of Nollywood Health Convention and Awards.
